Just like the answer to What Is The Gap Between Pre-K And Preschool, there are some differences between toddlers and pre-K too. Toddlers and Pre-K students differ primarily in terms of age and developmental stage. Toddlers typically range in age from one to three years, while Pre-K students usually range from four to five. Toddlers’ activities focus on exploration and fundamental learning since they are still in the early stages of language and motor development. On the other hand, pre-K students have more developed verbal, social, and cognitive skills. Early reading, numeracy, and academic abilities are all part of the more organized pre-K curriculum that prepares kids for kindergarten. Both phases strongly focus on learning via play, but Pre-K is more concerned with preparing for formal schooling.
